The tag’s finally been completed. Solilo tagged me for the Swicheroo tag
So here it is. I have had a gala time trying to complete this tag 
As expected the tag’s been err stretched..okay REALLY stretched.But I am sure no one’s going to complain 
By the time I finished the tag I was confused. Had I done this tag imagining myself as a guy? OR had I done it as a woman ? One who admired other women because they were strong, beautiful , capable and graceful while dealing with all that life had to offer them?
Whatever it is , I loved pondering over it.
I have always found her cute and more than a few guys agree (also since I am one too (a guy that is )for the duration of this tag, please nod your heads in approval )
2.Catherine Zeta Jones . Beautiful? Yes that too but more than that I find her to be very graceful.
3.Sandra Bullock 
Pretty much me (as far as attitude goes that is ) I LOVED her in the movie Miss Congeniality.
So yeah would def want to date her if since I was am a guy .
4. Thandie Newton.I dont know what it is precisely. Except that there is a certain charm about her. An elfin beauty if you will.
5.Julia Roberts as ‘Isabel’ and Susan Sarandon as ‘Jackie’ in Stepmom.

Because I loved the characters in the movie Stepmom .
Two women each trying to come to grips with a reality that neither of them wanted or was prepared for. The way they both dislike each other at first and then slowly but surely come to terms with the situation.The way they discover how much they have in common.The way Julia Roberts’s character ‘Isabel’ falls in love with the stepkids and aches for their mom. The way Susan Sarandon’s character ‘Jackie’ cries silently in pain and in denial not wanting to leave her children to a stranger and yet knowing that she has to.
Convinced that noone could be as good a mom as her and terrified that they will forget her after she has gone.
You want to know why I love these characters so much?
Read this conversation that takes place between the two characters.
A little background first:-Jackie and Luke are a divorced couple with two kids Ana and Ben.Isabel is the new woman in Luke’s life .Jackie is suffering from cancer and has only a few days left to live.The movie is all about how these two women Isabel and Jackie come to terms with each other. Jackie realizes that after her death Isabel will be the new mom in Ana’s and Ben’s life. Hence the name of the movie Stepmom.

Besides the fact that I love her in the movies Roman Holiday *sigh* , War and Peace, Breakfast at Tiffany’s , Sabrina, My Fair lady and many more ..I also like her for all the work she did for UNICEF as a result of her traumatic past (something I came to know of only last year.)

Which guy wouldn’t want a soul mate like this? She carries herself proudly and is doing movies even now albeit very selectively. Just watching her in a movie (remember RDB and Dilli6? She makes the movie worth it for me even at this age. She brings a kind of realism to her role. )
Listen to these songs .They will mesmerize you.
A beautiful lady . The poise. The regal bearing. The charm and the grace. Its not just the fact that she was and is beautiful. No. Its more than that. Its the fact that she carries herself with elan and a poise that she seems to have been born with.
Because she just was. Not beautiful in the conventional Hollywood sense. But nevertheless had this girl next door look. Because I loved her in Casablanca and Anastasia. And because she stood tall and proud even when there were threats against her life and she was banned from entering USA.
*sigh*
Because every time I hear the romantic story I simply sigh. How I wish that it was a happy ending. A girl who became a princess. *sigh* And had a sad end to the fairy tale and a tragic end to her life.
Her beauty is ethereal.
11. Hillary Clinton
Because she knows her own mind.
Because she doesn’t live her life according to the whims of others.
Because she comes across as a strong woman.
Because the choice was always hers, never his.
Because she decided to forgive but not forget and yes there IS a difference between the two.
Because she gave damn tough competition to the best in the field.
Because she has tried out so many roles in life and is all the more stronger for it.
I realize that she is not exactly crush worthy material for guys (or the ones I know that is ). But I certainly admire her
How many of us are guilty of slotting women into categories just because she looks capable, knows her own mind and acts tough?

Its simple really.These are the ladies who are my favorite here. I have known Solilo, Ushus and IHM almost since I first started blogging. And what a wonderful journey it has been
A group blog, experiences shared, laughing over stupid things and gentle guidance. This is my charmed circle and I wouldn’t exchange it for the world.
Love you three and wouldn’t change a thing!

We don’t always agree on everything. We debate, we discuss..we know we are not right but neither are we wrong. We four just have different ways of looking at things.
Ritu who is a kickass blogger and one whose sense of humour simply rocks!(Maxine could learn a thing or two from you too you know )
Same is the case with Shail who is more gen X than many gen Xers I know (Her attitude shines through in her words )
What is common between all these 5 ladies?
They are able to connect effortlessly with the new generation. In Solilo’s case, she IS the new generation.
They move with the times.
Their sense of humour is awesome
They are not petty . Have never been.
They dont preach. If you get it fine.Good for you. Otherwise they wont ram ideas down your throat.
These are five women who have changed themselves with the changing times.
If anything they have taught me by example. And gently guided me at times when I was about to rant like a maniac. (thanks Ushus, Solilo and IHM )
They tell me how to handle things gracefully with minimum fuss. How not to get agitated (And yeah I do . A lot )
These ladies know their own mind but never have I seen them getting into useless arguments or petty fights.
But most of all for a girl who is still trying to struggle to find where she stands in life these ladies have treated me like an equal and with gentleness (only Ushus, Solilo and IHM know of some foot in the mouth moments or the ones that were about to become one )
They never treat me like a ‘kid ‘ 
They are patient when I falter, calm when I am about to rave like a fool.
They talk to me about things when they think I have faltered. And for that I am grateful (thanks IHM ) For all the love and support thank you (Ushus and Solilo )

To be completely honest it was damn tough to think like a guy. Try as I might I couldnt bring myself to think like that coz I love being born as a woman too much

What a lovely post, Indy! I simply adore Audrey hepburn and Ingrid bergman – I had as much a crush on them as I had on Gregory peck or Cary Grant
. And I think Waheeda Rehman is one of the most elegant ladies ever – they really don’t make them that way anymore. I also used to admire Hilary Clinton but the fact that she chose to overlook her husband’s affairs just so she could have a shot at becoming president lessened my respect somewhat

I like these women:)
Surekha Sikri is acting as mom and daadi nowadays. She doesn’t look beautiful but her acting is superb. She acted in ‘Mammo’ (superb acting by her and Fareeda Jalal), Zubeida (Karishma’s mother) and in some other movies. Now she is in my favorite serial, the only serial I watch, ‘Baalika vadhu’. She is doing very well in that. Jyothika acted in some, not very famous Hindi movies, she like Simran, is famous here, in Tamil movies. She is a bubbly actress but in a Tamil movie ‘Mozhi’, her acting was very good.
