ENFP – The “Advocate”🙂

Always knew I was an extrovert or extravert .This confirms it:D

I am pretty intuitive infact completely almost.:)

Umm…not a very balanced person am I?:D

ENFPs are introspective, values-oriented, inspiring, social and extremely expressive. They actively send their thoughts and ideas out into the world as a way to bring attention to what they feel to be important, which often has to do with ethics and current events. ENFPs are natural advocates, attracting people to themselves and their cause with excellent people skills, warmth, energy and positivity. ENFPs are described as creative, resourceful, assertive, spontaneous, life-loving, charismatic, passionate and experimental.

yay!Advocates!:)

“They can’t bear to miss out on what is going on around them; they must experience, first hand, all the significant social events that affect our lives.”
– The Portrait of the Champion Idealist (Keirsey)

yes absolutely dislike missing out:D

“Ranked 1st of all 16 types in using social and emotional coping resources and 2nd in using cognitive resources. “– ENFP Facts (discoveryourpersonality
:)))

“ENFPs are warm, enthusiastic people, typically very bright and full of potential. They live in the world of possibilities, and can become very passionate and excited about things. Their enthusiasm lends them the ability to inspire and motivate others, more so than we see in other types. They can talk their way in or out of anything. They love life, seeing it as a special gift, and strive to make the most out of it.”– Portrait of an ENFP (The Personality Page)
yeah can talk my way in and out of anything:D

“Friends are what life is about to ENFPs, moreso even than the other NFs. They hold up their end of the relationship, sometimes being victimized by less caring individuals. ENFPs are energized by being around people. Some have real difficulty being alone, especially on a regular basis.”
– ENFP Profile (TypeLogic)

People are life and blood:)cant imagine living alone:)

“outgoing, social, disorganized, easily talked into doing silly things, spontaneous, wild and crazy, acts without thinking…”
– ENFP Jung Type Descriptions (similarminds.com)
easily talked into doing silly things😀 LOL!

ENFPs are energetic and enthusiastic leaders who are likely to take charge when a new endeavor needs a visionary spokesperson. ENFPs are values-oriented people who become champions of causes and services relating to human needs and dreams. Their leadership style is one of soliciting and recognizing others’ contributions and of evaluating the personal needs of their followers. ENFPs are often charismatic leaders who are able to help people see the possibilities beyond themselves and their current realities. They function as catalysts.”
– ENFP – The Visionary (Lifexplore)
Ahem:D

Fictional ENFPs (Characters)

Ariel – The Little Mermaid
Balki – Perfect Strangers
Dr. Doug Ross – ER
Lara Antipova – Doctor Zhivago
Steve Urkel – Family Matters
Will – The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air

Real ENFP peopla (whom I like)
Bill Cosby
Bob dylan
Charles Dickens
Dr Seuss
Phil Donahue
Andy Koffman
Will Rogers

YOU CAN TAKE YOUR OWN TEST HERE. It’s FUN. :))
IHM asked her readers to share their results and so here it is,,this post on my result:)

IHM is INFP the Dreamer
INFPs are introspective, private, creative and highly idealistic individuals that have a constant desire to be on a meaningful path. They are driven by their values and seek peace. Empathetic and compassionate, they want to help others and humanity as a whole. INFPs are imaginative, artistic and often have a talent for language and writing. They can also be described as easygoing, selfless, guarded, adaptable, patient and loyal.

Knowing what I know of her,I think the test is right.:)

I am sure most of us are a baffling mix of many things.:)
And that no test in the world can be completely accurate. But this one is atleast fun to take:) .
So go ahead and take it:)

Most of you who are common friends have already shared on IHM’s as to what your personality type is.
Please do share here if you would like to.:)
And there are a lot of friends who have still not taken it.:)
So I am eagerly waiting to see your results.
Vinod Sir:) please do share.:D

oh okay Abhilasha:P
Thats how forgetful I am..took the test with my name instead of Indyeah:D

LOL I thought creator because there was something there about being able to talk their way out of anything🙂

    So here’s to a tottal extra-extravert🙂

There’s no dis-balance here, just so many different levels of intuitiveness, extroversion etc (lots in your case), and most of it is so true, anybody who knows you through your blog or otherwise will whole heartedly agree with this!

Enthusiastic, value oriented, inspiring, social, expressive … all of it is true!!
Amazing is They actively send their thoughts and ideas out into the world as a way to bring attention to what they feel to be important, which often has to do with ethics and current events
    And so true!

And Indyeah, thanks for doing this, wasn’t it such fun!

This must be an American classification! Put people into boxes along a few dimensions. It is just like what Linda Goodman has done. If you do a blind reading of her Sun Signs, without knowing which sign you are reading about, you will find yourself figuring in most of them! One has to be dumb to expect better with the whole humanity squeezed into 12 boxes!

Coming to ENFP, well, I am almost an extrovert who becomes an introvert periodically. Being intuitive often, I am also the “thinking type” but with feelings. I am unable to understand how perceiving and judging are so mutually exclusive!

    Vinod Sir:-yes very true:)
Linda Goodman and such test compartmentalise a lot:D
but they are fun to take:D

So despite knowing that they might be true for a billion other people Its fun taking them
and Linda Goodman *gasp*Sir I read her books:D
    kidding!:)
I do read them but as time pass..heh!heh!not as seriousbible kinda stuff:D

”I am unable to understand how perceiving and judging are so mutually exclusive!”
    true:)
Carl Jung has left some pretty contradictory theories behind:)

”I am almost an extrovert who becomes an introvert periodically. Being intuitive often, I am also the “thinking type” but with feelings. ”

    I agree what a variety!:D

”It is hard for me have meaning less chat🙂 and I am in marketing.”LOL!Chirag! How do you balance it?:))

my test result is nice:Dheh!heh! but take a look at what your result says

”INTJs are natural leaders, although they usually choose to remain in the background until they see a real need to take over the lead. When they are in leadership roles, they are quite effective, because they are able to objectively see the reality of a situation, and are adaptable enough to change things which aren’t working well. They are the supreme strategists – always scanning available ideas and concepts and weighing them against their current strategy, to plan for every conceivable contingency. “

    SUPREME STRATEGISTS!I am envious:P

    and also this
approach reality as they would a giant chess board, always seeking strategies that have a high payoff, and always devising contingency plans in case of error or adversity

knowing what little I know of you I agree:))

Dhiren:-Saw your post and I am hopping over:)
    this is what INTP is
“INTPs contribute a logical, system-building approach to their work. They like being the architect of a plan, because of the scheming and thinking involved, far more than being the implementer of that plan. Implementation tends to be drudgery. They are content to sit back and think about what might work, given their view of the situation. INTPs may ignore standard operating procedures. The hours that they spend are not what is important to them, but rather the completion of their thought process”

INTPs live in the world of theoretical possibilities. They see everything in terms of how it could be improved, or what it could be turned into. They live primarily inside their own minds, having the ability to analyze difficult problems, identify patterns, and come up with logical explanations. They seek clarity in everything, and are therefore driven to build knowledge. They are the “absent-minded professors”, who highly value intelligence and the ability to apply logic to theories to find solutions.”

    LOL@absent minded!Dhiren kuchch yaad aaya?:D

I’m just like you an ENFP… Is it a coincidence that we are all NFP– IHM, You and me? And maybe many other bloggers?

As a reply to one of the comment above, there aren’t just 12 compartments. A good test interpreter will take care to see the %s of each of the trait. Just bcas Introversion and Extroversion are opposites, the others may not be. But their strengths are what we (as interpretors of the results) are concerned with. The ENFP is not as nearly as important as the strength of each of these. I speak as a student of psychology, a person with a keen interest in “psychobabble” and a future psychologist😀

yeah they do seem to be don’t they?J

Your results are rather interesting I have to say:D
    ESTP is who you areJ
So this is what it says and I agree from what I know of youJ
Enthusiastic and excitable, ESTPs are “doers” who live in the world of action. Blunt, straight-forward risk-takers, they are willing to plunge right into things and get their hands dirty. They live in the here-and-now, and place little importance on introspection or theory. The look at the facts of a situation, quickly decide what should be done, execute the action, and move on to the next thing.”

“At work, ESTPs contribute a straightforward attitude that calls on people to make things happen quickly. They keep things lively and are willing to take personal and organizational risks. They enjoy crises and like to dive right in and skillfully negotiate through them

“These are the ultimate realists. Extraverted Sensors are at one with objects and experiences now, in the only living, pulsing moment that ever really exists. The Sensor is compelled to see, touch, taste, smell and feel all that moves, wafts, tingles, tinkles, scintillates, vibrates or resonates” “Promoters are men and women of action. When someone of this personality is present, things begin to happen: the lights come on, the music plays, the game begins.” )”likes to lead, likes sports, risk taker, tends to dominate conversations, fearless, can handle criticism” (

    I agree🙂

You are a realist I think:)
and quite good at handling crises arebt you?or Am i wrong?:D
Now how can you not agree here?:D

oh and Ajit?you are Bart simpson😀😀

and this I think is true for you Ajit aka OG:D
ESTPs are action-loving, “here and now” realists with excellent people skills. Informal, risk-taking, fast-paced and adaptable, they are not always in agreeance with rules and regulations. They are tactical problem solvers that desire quick results. ESTPs, who present a friendly and enthusiastic face, are straightshooters that are able to handle criticism.

    wah!
    :P:P

    Smita:-yeah timepass!:D
    mazaa aa raha hai:D

ISTJ..This is what it says girl!:)
ISTJs are very loyal, faithful, and dependable. They place great importance on honesty and integrity. They are “good citizens” who can be depended on to do the right thing for their families and communities. While they generally take things very seriously, they also usually have an offbeat sense of humor and can be a lot of fun – especially at family or work-related gatherings.”

    umm humour:D
Who has it ..and truckloads of it?:D
Someone whose name starts with S😀

“At work, ISTJs get things done on a timely basis. They honor deadlines, and they believe in thoroughness. A half-finished job is not a job well done. They established procedures and schedules, and are uncomfortable with those who do not do the same. ISTJs put duty before pleasure. As long as they can fulfill their responsibilities, they feel useful and thereby satisfied. Their work does not have to be fun, but it has to count toward something productive. ISTJs believe that vacations are something that one takes only when work has been accomplished; thus, at times they do not take vacations even when they could and should.”

    is this you too?:)
    I would love to know:)

and professions also include detective, lawyer, judge, scientist, auditor…where did you see your jobs? They were not in the list..kahaan hain?

this is what it says about ENTJ’s

“”Unequivocating” expresses the resoluteness of the ENTJ’s dominant function (Extraverted Thinking). Clarity of convictions endows these Thinkers with a knack for debate, or wanting knack, a penchant for argument. The light and heat generated by Thinking at the helm can be impressive; perhaps even overwhelming.”
